The world famous Christmas cracker manufacturer, Tom Smith and Company Ltd collaborated with George Wade and Son Ltd over a number of years to produce a series of miniature animals exclusively for the Christmas and party cracker market.Each series of animals was used exclusively by Tom Smith for two years, after which time the design rights reverted back to Wade, then they could be reused for other premiums or included in the english Whimsies series.In August 1998 Tom Smiths crackers was sold to Napier Industries of Rickmansworth, Herts , UK and the factory closed in 1999.
